Straight Nonsense : Tourists Posing & Fondling Wall Street’s Charging Bull
Tourists are weird. For some reason when travelling, people feel compelled to do the strangest things. Artist Tommy Kane made this hilarious video showing just how strange tourists act around the “oddest tourist spot in New York City.” Okay, so posing with the Charging Bull statue and hanging on to the horns seems innocent enough, but just watch as tourists start to play, fondle and pose with the dude’s balls!? Ha!
The story of the Charging Bull statue is actually very interesting, as it was made and funded ($360,000 later) entirely by Arturo Di Modica, who just dropped it off in Wall Street back in 1989. The city impounded it until the public outcry forced them to put it at Bowling Green Park. Di Modica is currently loaning it to the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation.
