Big Sixes – Live.Young.Forever {Music Video}
Big Sixes dropped their music video for “Live.Young.Forever” off their EP The Daze. The group thought up a little social experiment for the video, here is what they said:
We created a social experiment a few weeks back. We wanted to see if advertising could be used to promote an autonomous consciousness. Promoting the idea of thinking for yourself. We had some some strange looks, some abuse, some photographs and some laughs. For the most part of the afternoon we thought It’d all gone a bit tits up, that we hadn’t touched anyone, and that our message was lost, until later in the evening when we approached the train station to get a good shot and asked when the next train was, the ticket inspector replied “Who cares, what is time? What is a train? Free your minds!”.
Our conclusion is that you can’t force people to open themselves up entirely to every earthly and non-earthly thought and possibility, but if you can get people to question the information they’re fed, the tabloid headlines, the ‘best burger in town’ or the hottest new band, then at some point they’ll get there entirely on their own… if they want too.
