Jamie Lono – Folsom Prison Blues {Johnny Cash Cover}
I watched The Voice tonight but only because my control stopped working and then this kid popped up. He killed it! Jamie Lono is a kid out of Chicago who works at a Potbelly’s Sandwich Works. One, those sandwiches are delicious, two, this dude can jam. His cover of Johnny Cash’s “Folsom Prison Blues”, which he put a little country/dub/folk spin on it. It was clutch, I mean it must have been if Adam Lavine and Cee-Lo Green liked it, right?
Well I search for this kid and it turns out he has a lot of videos of solid covers. He covers some Mike Posner, Chris Brown, Amy Winehouse, Ray Lamontagne, Sam Cooke, and many more.. Quality people to cover.
