Straight Nonsense: Time-Lapse of Ho Chi Minh City Traffic
Even though it was years ago, I can literally remember jay-walking FOR MY LIFE on the streets of Ho Chi Minh City (formerly known as Saigon) like it was yesterday. The city is beautiful, and never once I felt like I was in any danger as an American student abroad, that is, until I decided to try and cross traffic. Obviously Ho Chi Minh City isn’t alone as a place that has insane traffic, but for U.K. photographer and filmmaker Rob Whitworth, it was insane/intriguing enough for him to make it the subject of his latest project:
Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) is an amazing up and coming city. This time lapse is a culmination of 10,000 RAW images and multiple shoots capturing some of the cities relentless energy and pace of change.
Everyone who has visited Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam knows part of the magic (love it or hate it) is in the traffic. Ever since I first set foot in HCMC I have been captivated by the cities energy. Saigon is a city on the move unlike anything I have experienced before which I wanted to capture and share.
So make sure you check out Rob’s time-lapse video below! And don’t get too stressed out!
